How is it installed?

The administrative installation allows the user to view, query, and print all
of the data and graphics available.
PRODUCTION INSTALLATION
The production installation not only allows the user to view, query, print and
edit all database information, it also allows the user to edit database
information. Each time the graphics are changed the database is updated. |

Who can use it?

Anyone
who is given authority to do so by you through a secure password protected
Internet connection. Drawing modification can be handled by the user or by
their outside consultants. Any new information can, with the client's
permission, be uploaded to the client's storage media, regardless of whether
it's the single-user version or a multiple-user, web-based version. |

Can it be customized
for our reporting?

Simply
stated, YES! SOPHDocs has been designed to be able to be customized for the
individual user if necessary. The standard reporting formats within SOPHDocs
have been developed over the past 8 years and can accommodate almost any
reporting requirements. |

Who owns the
information?

SOPHDocs
is licensed from and maintained by SOPHDocs, Inc. The database information and
associated drawing files are the proprietary property of the client and remain
the property of the organization that licenses SOPHDocs.

Who maintains the
information?

The
information can be maintained by the client, their consultants or through
SOPHDocs and their affiliated partners. The information can be maintained as a
stand-alone system or a system to be accessed on the Internet, or in an
Intranet or Extranet environment. |

How will SOPHDocs work
with my existing "work order" software?

SOPHDocs
was created using standard programming languages and can be customized to use
most existing database files and formats. Additionally, SOPHDocs can be used as
a platform to launch other programming. Because of the open architecture of the
SOPHDocs database structure, the user can customize the extent of the linkage
between SOPHDocs and other existing programs. |

We have in-house staff
that uses our existing facilities software (for example, FAMIS, ARCHIBUS), so
why should I change?

SOPHDocs
was specifically created to address the needs of facility managers who are
responsible for detailed knowledge, management, and control of the physical
assets they manage. SOPHDocs is not a work order management program. Rather,
SOPHDocs can work in concert with most of today's work order programs. SOPHDocs
provides a detailed snapshot of the physical environment and the physical
properties and relationships of individual assets within a room, floor,
building, or campus. SOPHDocs can be used by many people, (information
managers, maintenance personnel, outside consultants, architects, engineers,
emergency personnel, security personnel, etc.) and for a variety of reasons,
not just for work order purposes. SOPHDocs uses industry standard file formats
and the drawing portion of the software is written to function within AutoCAD. |
